With a globally minded design philosophy, Architectural Design Studio creates unique custom homes.

From schematic design to building permit and construction administration, ADS offers professional services for sustainability-conscious home owners as well as upscale minded clients.

Architectural Design Studio also provides home consultations helping clients to improve the efficiency and indoor air quality of their house while in the remodeling process.

Building a home is the greatest financial burden most people will face in a lifetime and yet few envision how complex the process is until they are entangled in codes, ordinances, house plan options and contractor choices.

When a new home project is in your future, a specialist in residential design is the best choice to guide you through the design/building experience. It makes sense to secure design services from a qualified experienced source.

Architectural Design Studio is well respected and proud to provide references and examples of previous projects to prospective clients.

Aude has earned the equivalent of a Master's Degree in Architecture with an emphasis in natural and sustainable building from Ecole d'Architecture de Paris, France. She has worked as a residential designer in Flagstaff, where she became familiar with the various design guidelines and requirements of CC&Rs (Covenants, Conditions & Regulations). As a project manager for a local architect, Aude directed commercial and residential projects. She worked closely with the City and County administrators, adhering to strict building codes, guidelines and administrative regulations.

Aude is also active as a member of the Coconino County Sustainable Building Program. Forming a partnership with the City of Flagstaff and Coconino County, the green building program works to set basic guidelines for the implementation and evaluation of green and sustainable building practices.

Architectural Design Studio's focus is to positively affect the environment through architectural design. The purpose is to promote building design and construction practices that significantly reduce or eliminate the negative impact of buildings on the environment. The ultimate goal is for the built and natural environment to work together harmoniously. Aude Stang believes that the process of creation best results from clear communication between the client, the designer and the builder.

"The Home of the Future" study conducted in 2006 by NAHB's Economic Groups revealed that in the next ten years, buyers can expect that all homes will be significantly "greener" and more resource efficient than today

"Going green" reflects a concern for natural resources and environmental quality. It conserves not only energy, water and other resources but also preserves our environment and promotes a quality of life that endures over time.

The design allows the forms of the green homes to be shaped more by how they respond to the climate and environment. Aude Stang points out that "the green homes of today will become the standard homes of tomorrow."
